Old Paladin Builds can be found at 4.0.1 - 4.0.3a Paladin Builds
Holy Paladin Builds (updated for 4.3)
Holy Paladins have a lot of choices of how they can setup their builds and make extremely good healers. Holy Paladins also make good raid and tank healers.
31/5/5 Holy Paladin Build
- Raid build for healing as of patch 4.3. Don't forget you now have to target Holy Radiance on different people.
32/5/4 Holy Paladin Build #2
- This is similar to the above build but it sacrifices a point from Improved Judgement and Protector of The inocent to get another point in Last Word and Blessed Life.
Stat Priorities for Holy Paladins:
Intellect - Best stat, should be the primary focus of gems, trinkets, and enchants.
Spell power
Spirit - for mana regen and hit rating through enlightened judgments.
Haste - Under full buffs, the GCD cap is 3489 haste rating, or ~27.24%
Spell Crit
Mastery - heals with an additional 1.25% per Mastery.
Protection Paladin Builds (updated for 4.3)
The protection tree is the tanking tree for paladins. A lot of the changes they had proposed for the tanking tree did not come to light this patch.
Paladin Tanking Builds should incorperate the following talents(5 points will remain to be used to customize the builds)

0/32/9 Raid Protection Paladin Tank Spec 4.3
- This is a good spec for doing raids.
0/34/7 Divine Guardian Tank Spec
- This is a good main tank spec that focus's on focuses on single target threat generation.
0/33/8 Pally AOE Tanking Build
- This spec has Hallowed Ground for AOE threat.
2/31/8 Fast Threat Pally Tank AOE Build
0/31/10 Word of Glory Self Healing Spec
- Looking to run some places by yourself or is the healing in your party a little weak? Try this one out.
Single Target Rotation Priority:
Shield of the Righteous / Word of Glory
Crusader Strike
Judgement
Hammer of Wrath (if active)
Avenger's Shield
Consecration
Holy Wrath
AOE Tanking Priority:
Hammer of the Righteous
Consecration
Holy Wrath
Avenger's Shield
Shield of the Righteous / Word of Glory
Judgement
With tank gear you have to weigh both threat with survivability but remember if you can't live neither can your party. You should be trying to get close as you can to the block cap (102.4%) by stacking mastery but also you have to make sure you can hit and have enough threat to tank targets. Also you have to have enough stamina to take hits. Remember if you can always tell people to wait a second or 2 before attacking to help you with threat but there is sacrificing your avoidance for threat is a good way to get yourself and your party killed.
Reforging Priority:
Reforge the following stats(in this order haste, crit, parry, dodge, mastery, hit) into the below stats:
Expertise to soft cap (26)
Hit to cap (8% or 961 Hit rating)
Mastery to block cap (102.4%).
Expertise - the left over will be put into expertise (up to 55)
Gem and Enchant for:
Mastery(block value) to cap 102.4%
Stamina
Other useful stats:
Strength
Expertise Rating
Retribution Paladin Builds (updated for 4.3)
This is the Paladin DPS tree.
7/2/32 - Best Pally Retribution Build as of 4.2
- This build has all of the talents needed for top dps in raids. There are a few points you can move around as there is always some flexibility in builds. This paladin build is very solid and I recomend it.
Retribution Paladin Rotation Priority for single targets is the following(what one you use is gear dependant information from elitistjerks rep pally forum entry):
Inq > CS > HoW > Exo > TV > J > HW > Cons, or
Inq >CS > TV > HoW > Exo > J > HW > Cons
Against undead or demons the following rotations are best(also gear dependant):
Inq > CS > TV > Exo > HoW > J > HW > Cons, or
Inq > CS > Exo > HoW > TV > J > HW > Cons
AoE Retribution Paladin Rotation Priority(only use AOE rotation if more than 4 mobs):
Inq > DS > HoW > Exo > TV > J > HW > Cons, or
Inq > DS > TV > HoW > Exo > J > HW > Cons
Stat Priorities:
Str
Hit to cap 8%
Exp to cap 26
Mastery
Crit=Haste
Try to gem for strength unless socket bonus is going to give a nice str bonus then try a hybrid gem to get the bonus.
For reforging try to reforge your worst stats into stat you need, such as hit and exp, when those are cap'd put them into crit and haste.
